Want to find out what really irks me? Everyday I hear, see, and read about how people are out to screw the “other guy” – and I’m sick of it!

Welcome 2013 and the Fiscal Cliff

Well, I for one, am ready to fall off the edge.  I hope the rest of you are as well, too.

Really?  We elect these people to represent us and all we get from them is the inability to do the job they were elected to do, take vacations, and send our country into greater debt.  Somehow, somewhere we’ve got to take a stand on all of this chaos.  I, for certain, have had enough of this crap.  I say fire or impeach them all!  The Occupy Movement started out on the right foot, but got lost down the road.

Maybe what we do need is to go over the cliff.  Most people couldn’t handle it.  I am ready.  Heck, I already live on the fringe of society.  Most people don’t understand how I survive the way I do.  And they certainly do understand why I choose to live the way I do.  It all boils down to the fact that I’ve had enough of the “American Dream.”  I’ve lived it, I’ve earned it, and when it didn’t want to let me back in because I was over-qualified, I figured out how to do things MY way.  I think that’s where most people get lost.  They have this idea of how their life is “supposed to be,” and when the plan doesn’t work out they become lost, depressed, and confused.  And then our government gives them money – whether it be food stamps or unemployment or both – and it leads to a false sense of security.  If you can’t figure out how to provide for yourself, you will never overcome the situation.

And heaven forbid, one becomes homeless in our society.  Then one is automatically a mental case or a drug addict.  I deal with more homeless people in my current situation than I ever knew in my corporate life.  And you know what – the majority of them are just unable to take that next step and find out how they can actually contribute to our society and still survive.  They are not mentally incompetent nor are they drug addicts.

Life is not about making the money and having the nice car and the nice clothes.  Life is about helping each other out.  It’s about finding out what makes you happy and truly living within your current means; whether you make $5 a day or $500 a day.

I am ready for this country to go “over the cliff.”  I’ve been ready and I’m looking forward to it.  We all need to take a huge step backwards and look at where all this greed has gotten us; both as individuals and as a country.  You don’t own what you “have” – your creditors do.  And our country is so far in debt, helping everyone else (before it can even help our own people), that we will never get out of this mess.

One quick fell swoop into the great oblivion is what we all need.  It can only separate those who are able from those who aren’t.  But, those who can rise above should be there to help those who are unable to do so on their own.  That’s what this country was truly founded on – at least in my belief.  This “keeping up with the Jones’” is for the birds.  Who really gives a damn when you get down to it?  Are you happy in your life?  Is your family happy?  Is all this commotion really worth it?  I don’t think so.

I challenge you to take a huge step back and evaluate your life; your situation.  Take a stand to say NO!  Say NO to those you’ve elected!  Say NO to those who want to put you down!  Say YES to I can make a difference.  AND THEN DO IT!!!
